Who hasn’t dreamt of a trip to Peru and discovering the sacred valley and Machu Picchu and other amazing Inca or pre-Inca sites?  I know I have been dreaming of this trip since I was a kid. Yet, planning a trip to a foreign country might be a bit stressful when you are pressed for time and yet there is nothing appealing to me in joining a mainstream tour group where you have limited time to take in and understand the local culture, with no interactions with the locals. And well, I’m of the age where leaving for a few weeks with a backpack is not quite an option either.

I was really fortunate to discover cultural immersion and letting the cultural immersion staff plan my trip within Peru and letting their guides and drivers show me around was definitely the way to go. Everything on the trip was planned perfectly: the sites seeing, the places to stay but more importantly you get a personal attention so you’ll learn a lot about the history but also about the local customs and the way of life and that’s what made this trip so extraordinary and so memorable.

Thank you to the team of Cultural Immersion for personalising our encounter of Peru to match our individual travel requirements.  We were  provided with a great itinerary that enabled us to see many sites and much more over a three week period.  We visited  Lima, Nazca, Arequipa , Colca Canyon, Puno, Uros and Taquile Islands, Cusco, Aguas Calientes and finally Macchu Picchu before heading to the Peruvian Amazon.  We were greeted with a smiling face at each location and felt safe at all times.   It was great to have such knowledgeable guides who were passionate about their country and could explain thehistory of the area.  We thoroughly enjoyed the culture , cuisine  and diversity of the country and will treasure the memories we have of Peru.  Our tour was excellent value for money and we would highly recommend Cultural Immersion to anyone considering using their services.

This may have been the best vacation I have ever had

This may have been the best vacation I have ever had, and I try to take a nice vacation every year.   Every place we visited – Lima, Paracas, Nazca, Arequipo, Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Cuzco, Ollantaytambo,  the Inca Trail, Aqua Calientes, and CortoMaldes (Amazon) -  was a great experience.   The variety between these places was amazing.  The hotels were nice, clean, and well located.   All of our guides were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.  The trip in general went flawlessly, with guides meeting us, and escorting us, thru every transition.   The food was excellent, even on the Inca Trail.   Experiences that stick out even above the others include the Inca Trail (of course), the Ballestas Islands, watching the condors rise above Colca Canyon, and Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca.   We sincerely thank Eduardo and Monique for putting this experience together for us.

The trip itself was well organized and far exceeded our expectations.

We decided on our trip to Peru 3 weeks before the actual travel dates and quickly realized that it would have been very difficult to plan the trip on our own due to all the arrangements required (purchasing tickets, arranging transportation etc) so we decided that we needed a tour operator. We selected Cultural Immersion because apart from being prompt to response Monique was also able to tailor a packaging to our specific needs. The trip itself was well organized and far exceeded our expectations. Cultural Immersion did a good job of letting us see the traditional tourist spots but also included other local activities that we would not have otherwise seen. Our guide, Alvero was exceptional and his insight was invaluable. We wish they organized other trips around the world!

Geweldige service!  Wij hebben een zeer mooie reis gemaakt door het zuiden van Peru en  Cultural Immersion heeft hier een grote bijdrage aan geleverd.

Wij hebben als 1^e Nederlandse klant een reis door Peru geboekt bij Cultural Immersion.  Eduardo en Monique hebben al snel onze twijfels over een voor ons onbekend reisbureau weg weten te nemen door ons op een zeer adequate wijze van de nodige informatie te voorzien. Het grote voordeel voor ons was het feit dat zij onze reis geheel naar onze wensen konden plannen. Alles wat we wilden gaan zien hebben we ook gezien. De accomodaties, locale gidsen, het vervoer e.d. was perfect geregeld. Toen Ella een dag ziek op bed lag werd er door Cultural Immersion contact opgenomen en kreeg zij een goed advies over welk medicijn te gebruiken. Dankzij dit advies was zij toch nog in staat om de Machu Picchu te bezoeken. Geweldige service!  Alle gidsen ter plekke waren zeer deskundig en spraken goed engels. De accomodaties waren zeer comfortabel en de maaltijden waren altijd zeer smakelijk.  Kortom, wij hebben een zeer mooie reis gemaakt door het zuiden van Peru en  Cultural Immersion heeft hier een grote bijdrage aan geleverd.

Cultural Immersion provided us with a great itinerary that enabled us to see many sites and much more in a short amount of time. Our guide, Daniel, is very knowledgeable and personal. We felt as if we travelled with a friend. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable. Peru holds a very special place in our heart and we hope to return soon.

It was a great trip for our family including our 3 children 9, 14 and 18.  The itinerary included kid friendly activities as well as cultural sightseeing and every body had a great time.  It is so important in a country so rich with history to have a guide with you all the time who can explain what you are looking at.   Thanks a million to the Cultural Immersion team for arranging such a treat for us.
