Welcome to Peru. As most of the international flights arrive in Lima late and there are no connecting flights at night, you will stay in one of the hotels close to the airport for you to have a good rest before your early flight the next day.*If you would like to have an additional day to explore the city of Lima, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will customize your itinerary accordingly.**The comfort option includes a nearby hotel and we will provide a private driver to transfer you to and from the airport***The exclusive option includes the overnight at Holiday Inn. This hotel is outside of the airport, in the front. Holiday Inn provides a free and shared service of transfer from the exit customs to the door of the hotel and the way back the next day. If you would like to have a private transfer from and to the airport, please let us know.
****The luxury option includes the night at Costa del Sol. This hotel is inside of the airport so you will be able to reach it by walking just a few meters on your own. If you would like to have a guide to assist you, let us know.
In the morning, we pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Lima Airport in time for your domestic flight to Cusco. Upon arrival to the Incan Empire of Cusco, your private tour guide will welcome you to the city and take you to the Sacred Valley of the Incas by private van. Along the route, you will have the chance to experience the rich culture and nature of the Andes and to have an off the beaten track encounter, apart from the crowded tourist spots. Therefore, we will take you to Umasbamba, a local community where people create Andean textiles using the ancestral technics since the Incas times, here you will not only learn about the weaving process but also have a first impression of the daily life of the farmers in the Andean highlands, a great introduction to the local culture. We will have a delicious typical lunch with them. After our visit, we will continue driving, passing through the beautiful Piuray Lake, and always accompanied by the mountains. Finally, you will arrive in Maras, a very authentic village of farmers, with a spectacular scenery of the Andean mountain range and glaciers, where your Andean Villas are located and where you will start your cultural Immersion experience.* Breakfast, lunch and dinner included this day.
This day will be full of surprises and offers you plenty of possibilities to explore the culture and the nature of the Peruvian Andes.During the morning, you can learn about ancient Incan and pre-Incan agricultural methods, including a visit to the salt mines of Maras and local fields, you can also visit the circulate terraces of Moray used as an agriculture laboratory during the Incan time. As an alternative, you are also able to include sporty activities such as a biking tour through the stunning landscape of the Sacred Valley or a kayaking adventure on Waypo Lake, a calm lake between the snow-capped mountains. So please, let us know if you would like to bike or kayak this day!In the afternoon, you will be able to experience cultural activities, such as a visit to a local school that we support with our social projects. According to our concept at Cultural Immersion, you will make sure to provide you with an authentic experience, including interaction with the local communities who will be happy to show you around and allow you to partake in their daily life for a short time. *Lunch included this day
In the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for your private tour of Ollantaytambo, one of the last Incan refugees during Spanish colonization. You will step back in time as many of the houses and buildings continue to stand from the Incan empire and display original architecture. You will be invited to enter one of these houses to observe the building and the way in which the people used to live.Then we will take you to the train station of Ollantaytambo, where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. On this one and a half hour spectacular train journey you will be able to observe a change in the landscape, from the typical Andean highlands to the beginning of the jungle.Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, your private tour guide will take you to the bus station and accompany you to the complex of Machu Picchu ´The Lost City of the Incas´. We truly recommend visiting this highlight in the afternoon, as it is less crowded which gives you the opportunity to better feel the spirit of this truly magic site. During your tour of this sacred Incan site, you will learn about the history and visit the truly remarkable temples of the Sun and the Condor. You will also see the aqueducts and houses while learning some interesting facts about the Incan Sacred Terraces. After your guided tour, you will have plenty of time to explore this truly magnificent site on your own. There are many short trek options, such as the one to the Sun Gate for an impressive view of Machu Picchu or a visit to the Incan Bridge, a secret entrance for the Incan Army.In the later afternoon, you will return to Aguas Calientes where you will you have the rest of the evening to spend at your leisure. You should not miss taking a bath in the hot springs or have a great dinner in one of our recommended restaurants.
Optional short Inca Trail: As an option today you could also replace this tour for the short Incan Trail to Machu Picchu, This is a great option we recommend you as it will not only let you enjoy fully of Machu Picchu without crowds but also includes a second visit the next morning. If you decide to do this you will take an early train in the morning and get off at the Km 104, from here you will start your trek, always accompanied by your private tour guide and walk for about 6 - 7 hours to reach Machu Picchu, upon arrival you will enjoy a first spectacular view of the citadel from the Sun Gate. The additional cost for this option is 200 USD per person including entrance ticket, tour guide, and Machu Pichu 2 day visit. If you would like to take this option you need to let us know in advance as there are limited spaces for the Inca Trail.
Today, you will have the morning to spend at your leisure on your own. You will have the opportunity to revisit Machu Picchu (entrance and bus tickets not included) to enjoy the many short trekking options or venture the famous mountain climb to the summit of Wayna Picchu, which can be scheduled at either 7 am or 10 am. However, there is a limit on the number of people who can climb each day so you will need to book it with us in advance. If you do not want to revisit Machu Picchu, you might want to take a walk through the crooked alleys of Aguas Calientes and observe the life of the people in this truly touristy place or take a bath in the hot springs of the place. After lunch, you will board the scenic train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival to the train station, we will pick you up and transfer you to Cusco by private van.
In the morning, your tour guide will meet you at your hotel to begin your city tour of Cusco. You will start the tour visiting the Temple of the Sun, ‘Qoricancha’, located on the main Avenida El Sol (Avenue of the Sun). This Incan site was one of the most worshipped and respected temples of the Incan Empire. We will then meet different squares ("plazas") of the city: The Main Plaza (Plaza de Armas), Regocijo and San Francisco. After our visits, we will explore the local neighborhood of San Blas, which is the most scenic area of the city and you will find many art galleries and enjoy the local contemporary art.*If you want to make your city tour more adventurous you can do it on a bike without any extra cost. Please, let us know if you want this option and we can provide the bicycles and equipment. In the afternoon, we will start our culinary experience by taking you to the San Pedro Market, where you will see a wide variety of goods including, the vast different kind of potatoes, corn, meat, cheese, fruits, etc. Afterwards, you will be taken to the Cusco Culinary Cooking Studio, located in the center of Cusco where our Peruvian professional chef will show you how to prepare the most popular and tasty dishes of the Andes of Peru, including a refreshing drink, appetizer, main course, dessert and of course, the famous Pisco Sour. In this fascinating tour you will not only be able to prepare your own meal but also enjoy the great Peruvian food.
Today your private driver will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the Cusco Airport in time for your domestic flight to Lima. Upon arrival to Lima, we will take you to your hotel. During the day, we will invite you on a private tour of Lima, ‘TheCity of the Kings´, where you will enjoy seeing the best of both colonial and modern Lima. We will take you to the San Martin Plaza, where you will walk through the busy and fascinating pedestrian-only Jirón de la Union, Union Street, which leads to the Plaza de Armas, the main plaza. This street was constructed in 1535 and still retains its old charm with a number of shops and restaurants set in a mixture of old and new buildings. We will then arrive at the Plaza de Armas, a beautiful square surrounded by palaces. The colonial part of Lima is full of history and our expert guide will give you an introduction to the current capital of Perú. We will then continue through Barranco, where we will have a short walk around this bohemian and old district of Lima, located on an impressive cliff that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. After your Lima experience, you will arrive back at your hotel and may spend the rest of the evening at your leisure.
This morning you will have a pick up at your hotel in Lima for your transfer to the Lima airport. At the airport, you will board your plane to Iquitos.Depending on the program you will pick, you will visit Yanayacu Yacapana + Welcome Dinner (La Perla) / Nauta Port (Delfin II) / Welcome Dinner by Executive Chef Pedro Miquel Schiaffino (Aria)If you choose the first program (La Perla) you will visit Yanayacu Yacapana and have a Welcome Dinner.
During the excursion, you will observe the biggest water plant in the world (Victorias Regias), birds, lizards, sloths, beautiful pink dolphins and other animals. At the end of the night, the guides will use the lanterns to locate caimans, owls, and capybaras. Upon returning, a reception with live music by the Ship Band awaits you to enjoy the local music followed by a welcome dinner.By choosing the second program (Delfin II) you will visit Nauta Port. Nauta means literally ‘end of the road’ and is a small riverside town on the Banks of the Marañon River. It was the first city founded in the department of Loreto. On the way, you will see vibrant ‘terra firma’ (non-flooded forest) and various aspects of daily jungle life. After boarding the cruise, you will enjoy a delicious welcome dinner.If you choose the third program (Aria) you will have a wonderful Welcome Dinner where you will enjoy the innovative Amazonian cuisine, created by the Executive Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. His restaurant, Malabar, is one of Lima’s top-ranked dining experiences. Schiaffino’s imaginative use of local products – fruit, fish, and spices – makes every meal a delightful adventure.
Depending on the program you will pick, you will visit Yanayacu de Yacapana & Yarapa (La Perla) / Clavero Lagoon & Irikawa Caño Creek (Delfin II) / Yacapana River & Yarapa River (Aria)If you choose the first program (La Perla) you will visit Yanayacu de Yacapana & Yarapa. A trek will take place to observe the birds of the communal reserve Yanayacu de Yacapana. You will also get to see macaws, sloths, monkeys, toucans, trogons, quetzals, and parrots among others. Later, you will visit the butterfly farm project of Vista Alegre, where you will learn about the Amazon butterflies and their importance in the jungle.By choosing the second program (Delfin II) you will visit Clavero Lagoon & Irikawa Caño Creek. Clavero Lagoon is one of the most important zones of the Pacaya Samirua National Reserve. You will have the chance to get deep into the rainforest and its fantastic diversity of flora and fauna.
Irikawa Caño Creek will let you enjoy some of the myriad bird species, colorful, butterflies and other diverse insects, and noisy monkey troops.If you choose the third program (Aria) you will visit Amazon River & Yacapana River & Yarapa River & Clavero Lake. The locals call Yacapana Islands "The Islands of the Iguana" because of a large number of these reptiles - like tiny dinosaurs - which inhabit them. We will see the famous Amazon River dolphins, pink or gray, along with our route. Later you will float down the Yarapa, past the occasional fishermen paddling in their canoes, keep your binoculars ready to spot wildlife: terns, tropical songbirds, black collared hawks and sloth share this wonderful world with us. After lunch, we sail on to Lake Clavero where villagers paddle in their traditional dugout canoes.
Depending on the program you will pick, you will visit Ucayali River & Marañón River & Pacaya Samiria Natural Reserve (La Perla) / Belluda Caño Creek & Dorado River (Delfin II) / Ucayali River & Yanallpa River & Dorado River (Aria)If you choose the first program (La Perla) you will visit Ucayali River & Marañón River & Pacaya Samiria Natural Reserve. We will sail through the paths of the Ucayali upon the high confluence of the Marañon river until arriving at Piranha Creek. One of the first tributaries of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Later, there will be a trekking tour in the jungle, where we will learn about medicinal plants. We will be looking for exotic insects of the Amazon like tarantulas, frogs, spiders and a multitude of species never seen before.By choosing the second program (Delfin II) you will visit Belluda Caño Creek & Dorado River. You will Belluda Caño Creek and experience an unforgettable encounter with gray and pink river dolphins as well as the day’s birds will be out and active. Later, on the Dorado River, you will see abundant wildlife and nature in all of its exuberance while we search for the Amazon River’s transitional forest specialties such as snail kites, festive parrots, endangered scarlet macaws, olive spotted hummingbirds, Amazonian Parrotlets and woodcreepers, among others. Try your hand at piranha fishing as well during sunset.If you choose the third program (Aria) you will visit Ucayali River & Yanallpa River & Dorado River. You will explore what scientists call a "gallery forest," because of its dense vegetation that creates a tunnel of leaves. After, we take a magical journey through the "Jungle of the Mirrors," where towering trees are reflected in the dark river. We move on to Dorado River where you may observe enchanting parrots, macaws and a variety of primates, unperturbed by our presence. As we make our way back to the cruise, you may see alligators, frogs and fishing bats.
Depending on the program you will pick, you will visit Pacaya Samiria Natural Reserve & Marañón River (La Perla) / Puerto Miguel Community & The Rescue and Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals (ACOBIA) (Delfin II) / Pacaya Samiria National Reserve (Aria) If you choose the first program (La Perla) you will visit Pacaya Samiria Natural Reserve & Marañón River.
We will visit the Rescue Center Amazon -Manatee (ACOBIA), where you will be able to see and feed this beautiful animal. Then, you will have a brief visit to the city of Iquitos to observe the famous houses of the rubber boom, Fierro's house, and Belen market. Finally, we will go to the airport of Iquitos for your flight to Lima.By choosing the second program (Delfin II) you will visit Puerto Miguel Community & The Rescue and Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals (ACOBIA). You will visit the community of Puerto Miguel to meet local villagers who have called Amazonia their home for generations. You may step into a typical schoolhouse where the children will be very happy to have visitors and see the women in this community who have a most amazing arts and craft market. Later you will visit the Rescue and Rehabilitation Venter of River Mammals (ACOBIA) where you will have the chance to meet baby manatees and learn about these wonderful and docile creatures and why they are on the endangered species list. After visiting you will go to the airport for your flight to Lima.If you choose the third program (Aria) you will visit Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. You will see the junction of two major tributaries, the Ucayali and the Marañon, form one of the greatest waterfalls in the world. Your morning excursion will be accompanied by abundant bird song, as you glide in our small boats past large-billed terns, laughing falcons, exotic short-tailed parrot, and dozens of other vibrantly hued birds. After, we will travel by boat to a community located along the Marañon River, where you will meet and interact with local villagers in this remote part of the world and learn about their traditions and folklore. After we will take you to the Manatee Rescue Center, a kind of animal orphanage for Amazonian manatees to rescue, rehabilitate and release them back into the wild. The booking is accepted when Cultural Immersion receives the first deposit from its clients. At this point in time the contract between client and Cultural Immersion is effective and legally binding.
In order to secure the trip, we will require a 30% deposit of the total package price by the time of your booking.
First Payment: 30% deposit by the time of booking
Second Payment: Full Amount, to be paid 45 days prior to your arrival
In the case the booking will be proceeded 45 or less days to the arrival, the whole amount will be required in once.
If the booking is made 45 days or less from the arrival time then the whole amount will be required at the time of booking.
The first and second payment can be made using credit card via PayPal, Payments made through credit card / paypal are subject to a 5% surcharge.

Change of dates after the deposit has been made: 5% plus any other additional fees that might occur.
Substitution of clients: If any person of of the group is not able to travel, it may be possible to transfer the reserved services to another person. An administration fee of USD plus all incurred costs charged by the service providers will be required.
All appropriate refunds will be made directly to your credit card or bank account, minus any fees indicated
AIR/FLIGHT Cancellations: All air packages and air tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines
We do our best to operate your tour as sold. However, we reserve the right to curtail or modify the itinerary, or to substitute activities, hotels, meals or transportation as we deem necessary
None of these modifications or changes will affect the land package price
We reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time for a reason that would compromise the quality of the trip or the safety of the passengers or any other circumstances beyond our control . In this case, we will either refund this part of your trip or aplly this cost to other services (eventual additional cost)
In case we need to cancel the tour (not related to situations beyond our control), we will refund your fully paid pre-payments or work with you to apply those payments to another tour

For children aged 4 - 9, the package price is based on sharing a room with adults. Prices will be confirmed or advised at the time you book
Once we receive your deposit, your tour package price is guaranteed and any subsequent price increases will be at our expense
We are acting as your agent only and have no liability or responsibility for the performance of services by the airlines including, but not limited to, accident, death, personal injury, property damage or flight delay
Flight bookings are totally non refundable or transferable.

We reserve the right to offer an alternative accommodation of a similar standard in the case the accommodation specified in our web site is overbooked or for any reason beyond our control. No changes will be made after payment
